 Jimmy Dale Deaton, 76, died Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Mississippi and was an auto body mechanic for more than fifty years. He was a member of Rock Creek Hunting Club and was active in raising funds for St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital through his horse riding club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his grandson.

Services will be Saturday, June 15, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Ron Deaton officiating. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery, Belmont, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by three children – Regina Russell, Tupelo, MS and Tony Deaton and Bruce Deaton (Melody) all of Golden, MS; six grandchildren – Austin Deaton (Heather), Carley Nunley (Jonathan), Lacy Russell, Sam Russell, Tona Lee Smith (Case) and Taylor Deaton; four great-grandchildren – Cutter Deaton, Knox Deaton, Dyer Nunley and Logann Lee Smith; one brother – Jack Deaton and two sisters – Beverly Shannon (Ralph) and Vickie Hughes.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Barber, Larry Witt, Jeff Martin, Tim Smith, Scott Caldwell and Jessie Shotts. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Rock Creek Hunting Club.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 15, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
