Roger Otho Taylor, 95 years old of Phil Campbell, passed away June 12, 2019 at his residence.

Visitation will be Friday, June 14, 2019 from 10 a.m. until noon at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral service will immediately follow at noon in the chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Brother Terry Buster officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memory Gardens.

Mr. Taylor was born December 14, 1923 in Phil Campbell to Herman and Lottie Taylor. He was a United States Army veteran who served in the Pacific during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen Margaret Taylor; and his siblings, H. Neil Taylor, Charlsie Taylor, Kenneth B. Taylor and Foy T. Taylor.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Dolores Taylor; his son, Dale Taylor (Gale); his grandchildren, Ira Taylor (Angie) and Mary Taylor German; his great-grandchildren, Ella Taylor, Peyton, Maggie, Nora and Olivia German; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
