Agnes Tellete Thompson, 80 of Vinemont, entered into rest on Monday, June 10, 2019 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

Agnes was born on November 2, 1938 in Cullman County, Alabama. She attended Grandview School and Wallace State Community College. She was a member of Pine Grove Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, was involved in Vacation Bible School, as well as other church programs. Agnes loved reading and making jewelry. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Everyone knew Agnes as “Grannie”.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in the Piney Grove Community. Brother Greg Standridge will officiate.

Agnes is survived by her sons, Rickey (Jan Parker) Thompson and Ronald (Janet Waldrep) Thompson; step-sons, Steve (Kay) Thompson and Anthony (Cindy) Thompson; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth (David) Swann, Amanda Oliver, Marinda (Eric) Sullivan, Lindsey (Cody) Rasco, Katrina (Todd) Ahlstedt, Gretchen (Brandon) Payne and Kellen (Katie) Thompson; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arillian C. Thompson; parents, Alfie and Gurtrue Rodgers; brothers, Cecil Reaid, Jimmy Rodgers, and C.L. Reaid; sisters, Vilos Rodgers, Julettie Kelsoe, Irene Havolen; and granddaughter, Sonya Thompson.
