MONTGOMERY – Summer is great time to be in the woods, but watch where you step! Most snakes in Alabama are non-venomous, but they are often confused with the six venomous species. If you see a snake this summer, the best course of action is to just leave it alone.

The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has produced a video to help you know when to Watch Your Step.
