LIMESTONE COUNTY– On Friday, June 7 the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office has issued a statement concerning the arrest of two suspects on drug related charges:
“On the 6th of June 2019, the LCSO Narcotics Unit conducted a welfare check on an infant at 19675 Looney Rd. As investigators were pulling into the driveway of the residence, a suspect fled into the house. Investigators pursued the fleeing suspect into the home. While investigators were searching for the suspect, who was attempting to hide, they observed an infant in the living room. Investigators also found
methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in plain view.
Multiple suspects were detained while investigators contacted DHR and conducted an investigation. Once an investigation was completed, Kandes Lambert arrested of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mercedes Weeks was also arrested for Chemical Endangerment of a child after she failed a drug screening on scene.”
