Victims Of Two-Vehicle Accident Near Cullman County Have Been Identified

JOPPA-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has reported the names of the dead and injured in the two-vehicle accident that occurred near Joppa, Alabama on Monday, June 3:

“A two-vehicle crash at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, June 3, has claimed four lives.

Allen Dewanne Gore, 41, of Sommerville was killed when the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix he was driving crossed the centerline and collided head on with a Peterbilt log truck.

Gore, who was not restrained, was pronounced dead at the scene. Holly Marie Young, 23, and two children ages 2 and 4, who were passengers in the Pontiac, were also pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Peterbilt was injured and transported to a local area hospital.

The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 67 one mile south of Joppa. Nothing further is available as ALEA State Troopers continue to investigate.”
