Betty Kathleen Clayton, 76, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born March 8, 1943, to Romie F. and Katherine Archie Hinton. She was a homemaker most all her adult life and was a babysitter for many years. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, canning, and woodworking as well as caring for her dogs, Champ and Sassy.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Kelly Wayne Knight officiating. Burial will be in the family cemetery.
Survivors include one son, James C. Clayton (Wanda) of Fulton; two daughters, Cherry Conwill (Doug) of Tremont and Tamara Hughes (Richard Nichols) of Fulton; two sisters, Ada Jean Smith of Tupelo and Ann Hallmark of the Carolina community; two grandchildren, Kyle Conwill and Kadie Conwill; five step-grandchildren; 8 step great-grandchildren; and one step great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Clayton; her parents; and one brother, Romie C. “Buddy” Hinton.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
