Eldrie “Till” Steele, 82, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at her home with her family surrounding her. She was born October 29, 1936 to the late Ellic Barnes and the late Vera Barnes. She was a faithful witness who loved the Lord and a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She loved her family, sewing, gardening, fishing, and helping others. A ceremony honoring her life will be 2:00 pm on Saturday May 25, 2019 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Lloyd Minor officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am Saturday, May 25 at Senter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with helping the family. Survivors include her daughters: Debbie (Eddie) Kilgore, Liz (Leonard) Prien, Cherea (Billy) Robertson, and Charlotte (Mark) Little; brother, John Barnes; sisters: Eva (Russell) Wilemon, Betty (Lester) Williams, Fay Frederick, Gail (Larry) Graham, Mitzie Duncan; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Reese Steele, brother, George Barnes, sister, Doris Mormon Pallbearers will be William Robertson, Jason Kilgore, John Felix Robertson, Ben Little, Luke Thomas.
