Mr. Johnny Berlin Graves, age 75, of Arab, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Graves was born in Marshall County on November 10, 1943 to General Berlin Graves & Mary Nell Dodd Graves. He was owner & operator of Graves Tree Service. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Arab Church of Christ. Mr. Graves is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy Carol King Graves; daughters, Kelly Davis (Monty) and Suzanne Graves, and son, Chris Graves (Anne-Marie). Mr. Graves has seven grandchildren: Ryan Davis, Erin Davis, Logan Decker, Zoie Decker, Laura Graves Sulfridge (Logan), Sam Graves, and Sarah Graves.He is also survived by his sister, Cara Painter (Greg Hudson). He was preceded in death by his parents, General Berlin Graves & Mary Nell Dodd Graves and brother, Terry Graves.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Bro. Ken Tyler & Bro. Demar Elam will be officiating the service. Burial will be at Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will include: Ryan Davis, Logan Decker, Sam Graves, Steven Ryan, Eric Graves, Richard Whisenant, Phil Miller & Fred Dodd.
Honorary pallbearers are Jim Hendrix, William Morrow, Walt Mitchell, Bill Allen, Donny Garrett, Monty Davis, Sr., Gerald Martin, Tom Self and Arab Church of Christ Elders: Warren Smith, Todd Norris, Danny Hughes and Jeff Cavender.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers family has requested donations be made to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice 408 Martling Road Albertville, Al 35951.
