Marjorie Rosetta “Margie” Sneed, 104, of Gurley, passed away Saturday.
She was preceded in death by father, A.M. Champion; mother, Leanna Champion; husband, James Monroe Sneed; sons, James M. Sneed, Jr., and Charles David Sneed; 1 son and 1 daughter that passed at birth; grandson, Lee Sneed; and Several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are daughter, Audrey Sneed (William S.) Higgins; granddaughter, Melissa (Tim) Thompkins; granddaughter, Carol (Mark) Cory; grandson, William S (Stacey) Higgins; granddaughter, Judy Welbourne; grandson, John (Cynthia) Sneed; grandson, Terry Sneed; 12 great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Sneed was a farmers wife where she spent many hours helping her husband. She was a long time member of Cave Spring Baptist Church where she volunteered many years of service. Mrs. Sneed also served as the manager for the New Hope Senior Center for many years.
Visitation will be Tuesday 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home, Tuesday at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be in the Sneed Cemetery.
