Betty Ann Maddox – Obituary

Betty Ann Maddox, 86, of Saulsbury, departed this life Saturday evening, May 18, 2019 at Baptist Hospital in Memphis.

The widow of Robert Dale “Bob” Maddox, who died on March 14, 2008, she was a homemaker and military wife, traveling the world with her husband while he served in the US Army for over 20 years. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 11, 1933, daughter of the late Joseph Balla Tekus and Elizabeth Tekus, and grew up in southern California, working for around 10 years at Cox Hobbies. She and her husband moved to Tennessee in 1982 and she worked as a shipping clerk at Dunn’s in Grand Junction for 3-4 years. Mrs. Maddox was a member of Saulsbury Baptist Church.

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Maddox, Jr. of Saulsbury and Joe Maddox of North Powder, Oregon; 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Sandy Moorehead and a brother, Paul Tekus. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to Saulsbury Baptist Church.
