Hershel Ray Dutton, age 71, of Town Creek, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Dutton was the type of man who would do anything for someone. He was a hardworking farmer, who loved his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren.
The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating the service will be Bro. Burrell Vandiver. Burial will be at King Cemetery in Town Creek.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan V. Little; grandchild. Kimberly Edwards, great-grandson, Damion Dutton; parents, William Leander Dutton and Nancy Jane Kinard Dutton; sisters, Dorthy Purser, Louise Mearse; brothers, Robert Dutton, and James Roe Dutton.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 49 years, Mary Alice Vandiver Dutton; children, Eyelene & Robert Garner, Emily & Quienton Peoples, Hershel Dutton, Jr., Walter Dutton, Annie & David Cooper, Andy & Danielle Dutton, Randy & Ashley Dutton; grandchildren, Jason Mann, Amber Evens, Johnathan Dutton, Andy Dutton, Jr., Hannah Dutton, Phillip Edwards, Dakota & Aspen Dutton, Cody & Kayla Dutton, Justin Thornton, Corey & Billy Clark, Jamie & Bradley Taylor, Gracie Cooper, Austin Cooper, Alex Cooper, Susan Dutton, Zachary Dutton, Jackie Dutton, Lacey Dutton, Nicki Dutton, Dylan Dutton, Dallas Dutton, Levi Trotters, Meliah Trotters, J.C. Trotters, Stephanie Hood, Mason Daniels, Garrett Daniels, Rylen Daniels; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lizzie May Clark, Doris Owens; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Randy Dutton, Andy Mears, Bradley Taylor, Billy Clark, Dakota Dutton, Cody Duton, Henry Mears, and Michael Vandiver.
