One Dead After Single-Vehicle Accident in Morgan County

MORGAN COUNTY-On Friday, May 17 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a singlw-vehicle accident in Morgan County that has taken the life of one person:

“A single-vehicle crash at 10:00 a.m. today, May 17, has claimed the life of a Lacey Springs man.

Gene La Paul Pritchett, 54, was killed when a 1993 Chevrolet Van, in which he was a passenger, left the roadway and struck a tree. Pritchett, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, Doc Jeremiah Suits, 40, of Valhermosa Springs was injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital.

The crash occurred on Prince Circle three miles south of Lacey Springs.  Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
