Phyllis Sharp Holland – Obituary

Mrs. Phyllis Sharp Holland, age 64, of the Letcher Community, passed away peacefully May 15, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital.
Phyllis was born on December 7, 1954 in Blue Island, IL, but moved with her family to Alabama at a young age. She graduated from Woodville High School in 1973, and married the love of her life a few years later in 1976. After many years of praying, they were blessed with a daughter in 1994. Phyllis was a loving wife and mother who always thought of others before herself. She was a firm believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and her favorite saying was “God is Good.”
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Mike Holland; daughter, Macy (Garret) Dolberry; brother-in-law, JC (Martha) Holland; sisters-in-law, Joyce (Ken) Little and Delora (Leon) Morgan; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and one nephew; Faith Covenant Church of God family; many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Fannie Sharp; grandparents, Fred and Lucy Cornelison and Homer and Hazel Sharp; brother-in-law, Truman Bishop.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Scottsboro Funeral Home, with Bro. Brett Hogland officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
