Jessie S. Williams 84, of Ardmore, AL died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at her home.
Born Saturday, November 24, 1934 in Limestone County, AL, she was the daughter of Deemer Shannon and Neeter Hobbs Shannon.
She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved sewing, watching Atlanta Braves baseball and Alabama Crimson Tide football.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, Willliam Allen (Al) Williams; brothers,Calvin Shannon and James Shannon; sister, Martha Wales.
She is survived by daughters, Angie (Michael) Turner and Jan (Clayton) Ikard; son, Jeff Williams (fiancee, Diane Thurman); sister, Bessie Smith; grandchildren, Megan Williams, Will Turner, Logan Ikard, Trace Williams, and Kelsey Turner (Jonathan) Cooper; great grandchildren, Rhett Cooper and Braelynn Calloway.
A Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL, at 11:00 AM with Bro. Steve Hargrove officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Comfort Care Hospice.
