Funeral for Rev. Willie Delashaw, 96, of Trinity will be Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Parkway Funeral Home, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Francis Proctor and Rev. Hollis Rutherford officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be two hours before the service at the funeral home. Rev. Delashaw, who died Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at NHC, was born, May 10, 1923, to John Delashaw and Ella Whisenant Delashaw. He pastored two churches in Lawrence and Morgan Counties and preached in many others in North Alabama. He retired from Wolverine Tube, Inc where he worked in manufacturing. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife – Lela Delashaw, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include:
3 sons – Gerry Don Delashaw, Larry (Lana) Delashaw and Rev. Scott (Jennie) Delashaw
3 daughters – Janet Tucker, Chyrl (Henry) Lentz and Pam (Ronnie) McCLellan
11 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 9 step great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandson in laws.
