Cecil M. Driggers – Obituary

F.5.10.19 Cecil Driggers.jpg Cecil M. Driggers, age 93, of Tuscumbia, passed away May 7, 2019. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 11th at 10 a.m. at Shoals Memory Gardens in Tuscumbia with Pastor Robert Jackson, Jr. officiating.

Mr. Driggers was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy Seabees. He was retired from Ford Motor Company where he was a maintenance foreman. Mr. Driggers was a member of the Baptist faith and loved the Bible. He could quote an appropriate passage for any situation. He loved building and repairing things, riding his motorcycle and gardening, but his first love was his family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Daphne “Meme”; daughter, Kathleen Turner; and grandchildren, Karen Turner and Matthew Driggers. Survivors include his children, Larry (Lisa) Driggers and Darleen Estis; grandchildren, Christi (Stacy) Estis, Jennifer (Fred) Chesser, Misti Estis, Dawn Driggers and Aylissa Murphy; great-grandchildren, Natalie Thurman, Emily (Nicolas) Perry, Kaden Ambrose, Grace Ambrose, Sarah Ambrose, Tarah Ambrose, Tarran Driggers, Abby Murphy, Aaron Kyle, Alexia Kyle and Abigail Kyle; great-great-grandchildren, Tucker Perry and Jaxson Perry.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors.
