 Kenneth DickersonKenneth Dickerson, 97, of Florence, AL, passed away May 7, 2019 at the Tennessee State Veteran’s Home in Murfreesboro, TN. He was a retired barber and member of the Church of Christ. Kenneth was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Phoenix Masonic Lodge in Nashville, Scottish Rite, and a Shriner at the Al Menah Shrine Temple in Nashville.

 

He is survived by:

Daughter: Denise Lorrie Dickerson of Nashville, TN

Daughter-in-law: Salli Dickerson of Lexington, AL

Grandchildren: Faith Hawkins, Michael Dickerson, David Dickerson, Lorri Shannon, Marie Cain, James Dickerson II, Kenneth (Colt) Dickerson, and Kristina Forrester

Great-grandchildren: Campbell Dickerson, Erik Dickerson, Conner Shannon, Dylan Shannon, Addison Shannon, and Falcon Dickerson

Numerous nieces and nephews

 

He was preceded in death by:

Wife: Betty Lawson Dickerson

Parents: Oral Braxton Dickerson and Delia Clemmons Dickerson

Son: James Braxton Dickerson

Grandson: Nathaniel Dickerson

Brothers: Charles Lee, Otis, Ray, Faye, Marion, and Clettis Dickerson

Sisters: Mary Ellen Dixon, Clara McLaughlin, and Wava Hurst

 

Visitation will be Friday, May 10, 2019 from 9-11:00 A.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Darryl Whitehead officiating. Burial will be in Tabernacle Cemetery with full military honors.

 

Pallbearers will be Michael Dickerson, David Dickerson, Kenneth (Colt) Dickerson, Erik Dickerson, Adam Dickerson, and Aron Dickerson.

 

Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
