Funeral services for Mrs. Cornelia Burkett Tubbs, age 89, are scheduled for 2 PM, Friday, May 10, 2019 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Mrs. Tubbs passed away Tuesday in Lexington. She was born December 19, 1929 in Henderson County to the late Alvin and Stella Hart Burkett. She retired from Salant/Salant after 37 years and enjoyed reading, yard work, and singing, especially at the nursing home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Carlie Keith Tubbs; one son, Bobby Tubbs; her sister, Willie Mae Webb; and one grandson, Joey Powers. Survivors include her two sons, Donnie Tubbs (Phyllis) and Larry Tubbs (Kathy); her daughter, Diane Powers; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren.
