Jeffry Richard LeeJeffry Richard Lee, 64, of Huntsville finished running his final marathon on May 8, 2019. He is now running on streets of gold, being cheered on by his mother, Betty Jean Lee, who preceded him in death. Jeff leaves behind his beloved high school sweetheart and bride of 45 years, Lynn “Putter” Ottman Lee, and their three children and their spouses: Sean Lee (Amy), Jason Lee (Alicia), Shanna Inman (Jimmy), and bonus daughter, Becky Lane. Jeff was known as Grampa to eight beautiful grandchildren: Courtney Musso (Taylor), Rachel Lee, Graham Lee (Julie Miller), Grace Lee, Grayson Lee, Lexie Inman, Maddie Inman, Brodie Inman, and bonus granddaughter, Katie Medlen. Jeff is also survived by his father, Creighton “Jack” Lee (Sue), and his five siblings and their spouses: Joe Lee (Rita), Jackie Sneed (Mike), Bruce Lee (Lori), Linda Killian (Mike), and Bobby Lee (Linda); his in-laws, Bill and Carolyn Ottman; brother-in-law, Mike Ottman (Aimee); lifelong friends, Doug and Denise Patterson and Paula Bergmann; and loyal four-legged fur babies, Minnie and Mickey. Jeff was loved deeply by numerous nieces and nephews, friends, coworkers, clients, and everyone else whose path he crossed.

Jeff was co-founder of Lee Builders, Inc. where he served as Vice-President/Project Manager for 35 years. Aside from work, Jeff spent his time outdoors, traveling with his family, and running marathons all over the United States. He was a dedicated friend, father, grandfather, husband, and most importantly, a servant of God. He was an active member of Willowbrook Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 10 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 11 at Willowbrook Baptist Church with Dr. Mark McClelland officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mike Eden Ministries, Inc., home of Little Eden Orphanage in Kenya, Africa. This organization is one of many that Jeff served whole-heartedly during his time here on earth. (www.mikeedenministries.org/give)

Although Jeff has lost his earthly battle to cancer, our Heavenly Father has won the battle for Jeff’s life, and it is always so much better this way.
