Milford Wade “Chester” Senter, 80, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at NMMC Hospice. He was born March 22, 1939 to the late Glen Senter and the late Ola Jamerson Senter. Wade loved the Lord, and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. He attended IAHS and IJC and played basketball and football. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion, the V.F.W. and the Itawamba Sportsman Club. Wade worked for the Mississippi Department of Agriculture as a meat inspector at Moore’s Meats and Spencer’s Meats for many years. He was an avid coon hunter and owned many championship dogs. He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He loved all sports and enjoyed watching them on TV. He coached his girls softball teams when they were growing up as well as other teams too. Wade loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. He cherished his many, many friends and enjoyed them dropping by to see him. He had a nickname for most of his family and friends. He had a big heart and would help anyone in need.
Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church where he will lie in state from 12:00 pm till service time. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 pm at Senter Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 8. Officiating the service will be Bro. Lloyd Minor and Bro. Henry Jenkins. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories daughters, Brenda (Marty) Willis of Houston, MS and Terri (Becky) Senter of Tupelo; grandson, Brandon (Amanda) McClendon; granddaughter, Samantha (Chris) Reeves; great-grandsons: Colton and Tanner; great-granddaughters: Presley, Aubrey, Addie Kate, Alivia, Lexus, Jetta, and Kamri; sister, Edna Robinson; sister-in-law, Clara Faye Dulaney; niece Delora (David) Holcomb; nephews: Ray (Joyce) Senter, Lee (Misty) Robinson, Jackie (Jan) Robinson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Billy K. Senter
Pallbearers will be William Holcomb, Lee Robinson, Jackie Robinson, Ricky Cleveland, Ray Senter, Eddie Moore, Grant Jenkins, Casey Clayton.
