Nellie Jean Poole – Obituary

Nellie Jean Poole, 68, died Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin, AL.  She was born in Green County, PA to Howard Franklin and Anna Bell Reed Ashbrook.  She was worked as a bookkeeper and was a veteran of the US Army.  She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 7, 5:30 p.m. at Landmark Baptist Church, Dennis, MS with Bro. Hal Holt, Bro. Robert Wood and Haskell Sparks officiating.  Burial will be in Landmark Cemetery.  Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by three children-Michelle McKinnon (Jeff) of Iuka, Chris Hearn and Brian Speers (Chelsey) all of Belmont; two grandchildren-Dalton and Noah; two sisters-Betty Foster and Marlene Maney (Mike) both of Hindsville, GA; one nephew-Mikie Maney and two nieces-Claudia Foster and Betty Jo Foster.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband-Kenneth Speers and a granddaughter-Virginia Pennington.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Poole, Phillip Slayton, Donnie Barnett, Mikie Maney, Dustin Harris and Jason Slayton.  Honorary pallbearers will be Rickey Carter, Johnny Poole and Mike Maney.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 7, 3-5:30 p.m. at Landmark Baptist Church.
