John “Doug” Douglas Boyd 75, of Athens, AL died Friday, May 3, 2019 at Hellen Keller Hospital, Sheffield, Alabama. He loved sitting on the porch and was a auctioneer.
Doug was born Thursday, October 21, 1943 in Athens, AL, to the late Duel Elmer Boyd and Mable Katherine Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Boyd; sons, Johnny (Cyndi) Boyd and Paul (Christy) Boyd; daughter, Renay (Tim) Johns; sister, Linda Jones; and granddaughter, Amber (Jonathan) McGuire.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM.
The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home at 1:00 PM with Bro. Doug Colwell officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
