Nellie Sue McKinney, age 91, of Russellville, passed away on Saturday, May 04, 2019 at her residence.
Mrs. McKinney loved her church at West Highland Baptist Church. She loved to sing gospel music and was a great cook. She worked for years at the recreation center for years. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 06, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 07, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Thomas Thornton officiating. Burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lander McKinney; sons, Buddy McKinney, Larry McKinney, Donny McKinney; grandchildren, Marty Garrison, Anthony McKinney, Jeremy McKinney, Michael Greenhill, Lisa Dawn Greenhill, Roger Stephenson, Jr.; and parents, Oliver & Docia Staggs.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Cathye Garrison (husband, Hulon), Linda McKinney (husband, Jimmy), Betty Thomas (husband, Mark), Sandy Mitchell (husband, James), Peggy Stephenson (husband, Roger), Cindy Russell (husband, Dean), Tammy McKinney, David McKinney; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Keller Home Health and Dr. Kevin Kelly’s office, and Denise Gandy for the love and care shown to our family.
