Mrs. Carolyn McWilliams Sockwell, 75, of Russellville, Alabama passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 at her residence. A life-long resident of Franklin County, she was a homemaker and member of Siloam Baptist Church.
Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Siloam Missionary Baptist Church from 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. with funeral services beginning at 3:00 P.M. at the church with Jeff Fleming and Jarrod Helms officiating. Burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery, Russellville.
Survivors include her spouse James Edwin Sockwell; children: James Gregory Sockwell, Michael E. Sockwell, and Andrea Dawn Sockwell Simoneaux (Sterling); siblings: Landon McWilliams (Emily), Racine McWilliams Baker, Larry McWilliams (Diane), and Sharon McWilliams Hovater (Jim); great grandchildren: Zach Sockwell and Bella Ferro; great grandchild Jasie Sockwell; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wiley and Christine Phillips McWilliams and brother Bobby McWilliams.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to Tammy Taylor and Brittany Kelly of Southern Care Hospice.
