Graveside services for Mrs. Laverne Davis, age 89, are scheduled for 1 PM, Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Mt. Ararat Cemetery in Darden. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Davis passed away early Friday in Jackson. She was born November 21, 1929 in Darden to the late Elbert L. and Lola G. Bradfield Fisher. She was a retired Office Manager. Church was a very important part Mrs. Davis’ s life, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington, where she sang in the choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James E. Davis and two sisters, Maerene Walker and Ann Volner. Survivors include her brother, Mr. Hugh Fisher (Jan); two nephews, Keith Fisher (Amanda) and Jeff Volner (Lora); two nieces, Rhonda Smith (Randy) and Rebecca McClaskey (Jack); six great nieces and nephews; and six great-great nieces and nephews.
