Travis Ray Word, 79, of Rogersville passed away Thursday, May 2nd, 2019.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 5th from 1 – 3 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow in the chapel with Bookie Durham officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Word, Jeremy Word, Ryan Word, Mickey Thornton, Marty Thompson and Adam Thornton.
Travis was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lela Word; grandson, Matthew Thornton; many brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children, Cheryl (Marty) Thompson, Travis (Donna) Word and Stanley (Amanda) Word and their mother, Marie Word Johnson; grandchildren, Adam, Amanda, Mary Beth, Claudia, Brandon and Jeremy; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Word; sisters, Dottie Townsend, Sue Strickland, Judy Jackson and Nela Norton; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to express a special thank you to sitters, Bobbie Jean Watkins , Lisa Poss, Okie Choo and all the ones in the past.
