Nelta Movalene Bowen, 83, of Russellville, Alabama entered into rest on May 1, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Ms. Bowen was born on May 22, 1935 and was a member of Liberty Grove Church.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services are to be held Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Brother Ricky White will officiate. Burial will follow in the Liberty Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Bowen is survived by her son, Michael Bowen; daughters, Shelia Colburn Siquina and her husband Domingo, Sandra Nichols, Linda Vickery, Susan Bowen; brother, Jimmy Prater; and sister, Imagene (Bob) Bailey. She has 9 grandchildren, James Colburn, Lawanda Colburn, Jerri Colburn, Skylar Bowen, Spencer Bowen, Mercedes Nichols, Baylee Nichols, Keshia Terry, Kanesha Vickery; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, LD Bowen; granddaughter, Natalie Vickery; parents, John Elvis and Ethel Maude Prater; sisters, Joyce Sutherland, Kay Adams, Norma McGee, and Joan Prater; brothers, John Edward, James, and Leonard Prater.
