Mrs. Ruth H. Johnson, 90, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Burns Nursing Home. A native of Franklin County, she was a member of the First Baptist Church, Russellville and was a housewife. Prior to her marriage, she earned a PhD and was a teacher.
Visitation with family and friends will be today, April 30, 2019 from noon to 1 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Gene Balding officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memory Gardens, Russellville.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her brother, Joe Hamilton and wife, Donna, plus a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Johnson; sister, Betty Kelley; and parents, Fred and Pearl Hargett Hamilton.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
