 F.4.24.19 Shanice Garth.jpgShanice Aaliyah Garth was born Friday, December 13, 1996, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama. Shanice departed this life April 19, 2019, at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, Alabama.

Shanice attended Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Leighton, Alabama. She graduated from Colbert County High School in Leighton, Alabama, where she was Class President of the class of 2015. Shanice loved her school and classmates to no end. Shanice attended Auburn University of Montgomery her freshman year. Shanice continued her education at Shoals Community College while working at Dollar General as assistant manager.

Shanice leaves to cherish her memories: mom, Lora Wright Garth; father, Micheal Lynn Garth; sisters, Lajasamine Wright (Darius Abernathy) and Portia Hill; special brother, Ke’Arvae Qualls; grandmothers, Clara Davis Wright and Dell Moore; aunts, Lewanda Qualls (Patrick), Wanda Elliott (Albert) and Dorothy Jones; uncles, Grant Edward Wright, Jr., Greg Wright, Wilson Moore (Renea) and Anthony Moore (Sherrill); nieces, Zymari Abernathy, Aniyah Hill and Malaysia Abernathy; great-aunts, Tracine Lewis (Edgar), Hattie Hood, Mary Davis and Glenda Gamer; great-uncles, Percy Davis (Nancy), Curtis Davis, Jim Davis, Bobby Davis and Tracy Davis (Barbara); special friends, Jasmine Jones, Christina Kelly, Justin Tucker, Jabria Hood, Elanna Tores, Liliee Taylor and Dollar General co-workers.

Public viewing will be today from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral service will be Thursday, April 25, 2019 at noon at Galille MB Church, Leighton with burial in the church cemetery. Directed by Trinity Memorial Funeral Home.
