F 4.23.19 Emma Finley.jpgMrs. Emma “Sally” Finley was born November 28, 1934, in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, to the late Walker Fort, Sr., and Mrs. Mae Willie Bates Fort. She departed her life on April 16, 2019, at Helen Keller Hospital.

Emma dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and joined the Mount Olievia Missionary Baptist Church. She served as the Junior Usher Board Advisor and a member of the Missionary Society. Emma was a faithful and dedicated Deaconess until her health failed.

Emma was united in Holy Matrimony to William N. Finley, Jr., on October 3, 1954. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marie King; and brothers, Colis, Walker, Jr., and Eddie Fort.

While many will remember Emma for a number of reasons, it is certain we will all remember her sense of STYLE! She was always beautifully dressed. She was an excellent cook and as a guest in her home, you were treated like family.

She leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Kerry (Tanya) Finley, Tallahassee, Florida, William (Donna) Finley, III, Tallahassee, Florida; daughter, Regina (Erroll) Hines, Kingwood, Texas; brothers, Joseph (Concettia) Fort, Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Willie Fort, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; sisters, Betty Fort, Tuscumbia, Alabama, Dorothy Malone, Tuscumbia, Alabama, Joyce (Willie) Hodges, Lynwood, Illinois; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; devoted friends, Louise Hyler, Gernice Ricks, and Barbara Hyatt; a host of relatives, friends, and her Mt. Olievia Church Family.

Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Olievia M.B. Church in Muscle Shoals with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia. Directed by Trinity Memorial Funeral Home
