John Houston “Jackie” Woodall – Obituary

John Houston “Jackie” Woodall, 79, died Monday, April 22, 2019, at Shearer Richardson Memorial Nursing Home in Okolona. He was born December 26, 1939, in Chickasaw County, MS, to William Martin “Mote” and Jennie McBrayer Woodall. He lived in the Houston and Okolona areas, before moving to Fulton. He moved back to Chickasaw County in his later years. He was a Veteran. He worked in the furniture factory industry. He enjoyed fishing.

Services will be at 1:00 p. m. Tuesday, April 23, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Randy Parchman officiating. Burial will be in the Keyes Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Jonathan Woodall of Okolona; one daughter, Denise Woodall; 2 grandchildren, Haley Woodall and Craig Woodall; several nieces and nephews, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Myra Hughes Woodall; two brothers, James Gore Woodall and Curtis Woodall; nine sisters, Pauline Tuz, Charlene Cooper, Inez O’Barr, Irene Earnest, Ann Blansett, Murtice Higginbotham, Jeanette Carrier, Charlotte Roberts, Faye Autrey; and his parents.

Visitation will be from Noon until service time on Tuesday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
