James Milton Lee – Obituary

Funeral services for James Milton Lee, 91, of Cullman are 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Cullman Funeral Home, Elder David Guttery officiating, with interment with military honors in Cullman City Cemetery.  Visitation on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Mr. Lee passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019.  He was born December 31, 1927 to Robert Thomas Lee and Narcisse Blackwood Lee.

Milton was a native of Cullman County and he was a loving husband, father and caregiver to their handicapped son for 35 years and was loved by so many.  His wife, Margie was the love of his life and they were inseparable until her death in 2017.  He retired after 40 years with Borden’s Ice Cream and served our country in the US Army and Army Reserves and was a long time dedicated member of Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 62 years, Lela “Margie” Lee; son, Paul Robert Lee; brother, Ollon Lee; sister, Margie Davis; niece, Mary Jones and nephew, Stephen Lee.

He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Lee (Dewayne Brown); nephews, Mike Lee and Danny Davis; special neighbors, Ray and Margaret Tribble; beloved dog and companion, Benji and a host of cousins, other family and friends.
