Nadine Tyra Justice – Obituary

Nadine Tyra Justice, 90, passed peacefully at the North Mississippi Medical Center on Thursday, April 18, 2019. She was born June 20, 1928, in Prentiss County to Lonzo and Ida Kennedy Tyra. She retired from Itawamba Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Lakeland Baptist Church. She was blessed and loved by her 77 grand/great-grand/great-great grandchildren. Her greatest joy was to be surrounded by her children and grandchildren sharing stories, laughs, and a good meal. She loved to cook and to grow plants and flowers. Nadine was also blessed to have made many friends and The Meadows over the last three and one-half years.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Henry Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the Stephens Cemetery.

Nadine is survived by her children, Lovon (Irma) Justice of Fort Payne, Ala., Mary Lou (William) Barnes of Marietta, Harold (Judy) Justice of Saltillo, Clarence Justice of Tupelo, Joann Williams and Marie (Ronnie) Dees, both of Baldwyn, and Glenda (Wayland) Hill of Water Valley; a son-in-law, Donald Cullum of Saltillo; a daughter-in-law, Judy Bennett Justice of Baldwyn; a chosen daughter, Brenda Chism of Mooreville; a sister, Annette (Hoyt) Reed of Maben; a special great-grandson, Kaden Barnes; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Arnie” Justice, in 2002; two sons, Rex Justice and Chris Justice; one daughter, Diane Cullum; a son-in-law, Cliff Roundhead Williams; her parents; seven brothers; and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Williams, Allen Justice, Matt Justice, Blake Dees, Destry Dees, Jake Dees, Dean Hill, and Cody Justice.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center.
