Margie Pennington Wade – Obituary

Margie Pennington WadeMargie Pennington Wade, age 65, of Russellville, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Helen Keller Hospital.

Margie had worked for years in the shipping department of Alabama Bands. She was a hardworking woman who loved Alabama football, raising a garden, and loved horses, especially her horse, Bucko. She enjoyed being outside when she was able. She loved all of her family, but her pride and joy was her two grandsons and she will be missed by all who knew her.

The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Jake Willingham officiating. The burial will be at Lime Rock Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Kenneth Joe Wade (wife, Elizabeth); grandsons, Joseph Wade (wife, Abby), Robert Wade (girlfriend, Molly Fisher); step-daughters, Terri Brown, Patricia Strickland (husband, Tim); sisters, Sharon Fuller, Doris Howell, Phyllis Burns; brother, Jeff Pennington (wife, Lisha); step-sister, Melinda Aycock; numerous nieces & nephews; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Kenneth Wade; father and step-mother, Leonard “Tee” and Lawanza Pennington; mother, Lennis Williams; and brother, Leonard Neal Pennington, Jr.

The pallbearers will be Joseph Wade, Robert Wade, Dusty Fuller, Jackson Fuller, Matt Mitchell, Anthony Mitchell, and Norman Oliver.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the 4th Floor Nurses and staff of Helen Keller Hospital, Dr. Vasik and Dr. Ridgeway and staff for the love and care of our family.

Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
