Betty Jean Smith, 83, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Her visitation will be on Friday from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Her Celebration of Life service will begin at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Bro. Hank Smith will be officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Betty is survived by her husband Aqullar of 66 years. Son Gary (Susan) Smith, two sisters, Dean Chandler and Mary Evelyn Clifton; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews. Sisters in law, Phyllis Smith, Imogene Deer, Dorothy Smith, and Cookie Smith. Brother in laws, Hank Smith, Eskell Smith, and Joseph”Junior” Smith She loved attending Westmeade Baptist Church. Also, loved cooking and spending time with her friends and family. Especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends and family will be serving as pallbearers. Roselawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
