Alice Faye WhittAlice Faye Ellis Whitt, 74, died Monday, April 8, 2019, at the North MS Medical Center, Hospice Unit. She was born April 9. 1944, in Lee County to Henry Edward “Ed” and Sally Dale Lessel Ellis. She graduated from Shannon High School. She worked for Action Industries for over 23 years. She was a member of Carnation Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching her hummingbirds, gardening, watching “her stories” and fishing with her husband, Trueman. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 AM Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jody Rock officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5 – 8 Wednesday. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Kaye Gardner (Ricky) of Amory and Kenneth Whitt (Toni) of Southaven; six grandchildren, Mickie Dykes, Jared Harmon, Mindy Minga, William “Buddy” Kennedy, Robbie Whitt and Ashley Ramey; seven great-grandchildren, Bentley Harmon, Kenzleigh Harmon, Grayson Truman Whitt, Marcus Minga, Mason Minga, Alyssa Whitt and Briley Dykes; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Trueman Whitt; her step-mother, Vera Ellis; brothers, Billy Ellis, Marion Ellis, James Ellis, Jerry Ellis, Glen Ellis and a step-brother, William Gibson.

Pallbearers will be William “Buddy” Kennedy, Robbie Whitt, Jared Harmon, Randy Parker, Devon Merrell and John Payne.
