Ralph Edwin Sparks, 62, died Thursday, April 4, 2019 at North Ms. Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. He was born January 12, 1957 in Red Bay, AL and was self-employed as a carpenter. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and Belmont Masonic Lodge.
Services will be Sunday, April 7, 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Glenn Bridgmon officiating. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery, Belmont, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters – Clyne Sparks, Memphis, TN, Syble Clayton, Phillip Sparks (Bonnie), Wanda Winstead, W.C. Sparks (Theresa) and Ann Elrod, all of Belmont, MS and Rick Sparks (Diane) Iuka, MS; a son – Ross E. Sparks, Fulton, MS and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Berniece Sparks and a brother, Harold C. Sparks.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Sparks, Jamie Sparks, Ted Sparks, Jake Elrod and Josh Elrod.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 7, 1:30 – 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
