Two Arrested…Charged With Murder In February 2019 Shooting

DECATUR-On Friday, April 5 the Decatur Police Department released a statement concerning the arrest of two suspects in the February 25, 2019 murder of Michael Irvin, Jr.: 

“CAPITAL MURDER ARRESTS: On February 25, 2019, the Decatur Police Department responded to the 1600-block of Marion Street SW, in reference to a shooting investigation.

Upon the arrival of officers, they located the victim Michael Irvin Jr. deceased in his home from multiple gunshots.

 

Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify Ulysses Wilkerson and Zachary Williams as suspects.

On April 4, 2019, detectives arrested and charged Wilkerson and Williams with capital murder.

Both Wilkerson and Williams are being held at the Morgan County Jail with no bond, per Judge Charles Elliott.

“The above listed defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.”
