John Michael Douthitt of Pulaski passed away peacefully at home in Pulaski surrounded by family on Saturday, March 30th, 2019. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on April 16th, 1945 and was 73 years old. He spent his childhood in Duncan, OK. and obtained an Undergraduate degree from the University of OK. in Norman, OK. and received his Masters in Health Care Administration from Trinity University. He served two years in the United States Army where he was an instructor in the medics and an aide to General Chester Dahlen. He worked 20 years as hospital administrator in various locations. He lived his dreams of teaching at Martin Methodist College and owned and operated Miss Butler’s Bed & Breakfast in Pulaski, TN. He enjoyed history, reading, traveling abroad and especially cooking. His personality was larger than life and we will miss his stories and laughter.
Visitation will be Friday, April 5th from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at the Church of the Messiah Episcopal Church in Pulaski.
A memorial service will follow visitation on Friday at 3:00pm at the Church of the Messiah Episcopal Church with Father Jess Reeves presiding.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Leroy and Ann Rosalie Brosius Douthitt, and brother The Rev. William Patrick Douthitt.
