James Richard Randolph – Obituary

James (The Clock Dr.) Richard RandolphJames Richard Randolph “The Clock Doctor,” of Sheffield, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the age of 74. His visitation will be Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Howard Wilson officiating. A private burial will be in Blackground Cemetery.

Richard was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 503 in Sheffield. He retired from Robbins Tire and Rubber Company and the City of Sheffield. He had a degree in watch repair from Calhoun State and worked on clocks for 50 years. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Leoma Randolph; brothers, William “Bubba” Randolph and George “Big Buddy” Randolph; and sisters, Mary Hellen “Tootsie” Whitt and Lucille Evans.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherra Randolph; sons, Russ Randolph and Jason Randolph (Michelle), both of Sheffield; sisters, Elise Musgrove of Sheffield and Lela Belle Holderfield of Rogersville; grandchildren, Ariel, Allison, Anna and Cale Randolph; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama and to the numerous family and friends for their kindness and care for Richard.

Pallbearers will be Danny Richardson, Landel Richardson, Terry Richardson, Mark Holderfield, Daryl Randolph and Don Witt. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg D. Musgrove and Brandon McCorkle.
