Dawn Elaine Deitsch died Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Terrace Lake Village in Guntersville, AL. She is survived by her son, Tyler Deitsch and wife, Mary Beth, of Huntsville, AL; her parents, Don and Marilyn Deitsch of Grant, AL; sister, Diane Clift and husband, Robert; brothers, Jeff and wife, Cindy, of Grant, AL, Gregg and wife, Kathy, of Birmingham, AL, and David and wife, DeAnn, of Scottsboro, AL; five nephews, two nieces, two great nephews and one great niece.

Dawn was born in Meadville, PA on September 17, 1955 and moved to Huntsville in 1971 from Painesville, OH.  She attended Huntsville High School and received an Associate degree from John C. Calhoun in CADD.  She worked at COLSA as a CADD (computer aided design and drafting) designer for 12 years before retiring.  Dawn had previously owned her own business, D&S Designs, which gave her an outlet for the extraordinary artistic talents she was blessed with.  Dawn’s greatest love and joys in her life were her son, Tyler, horseback riding, and dancing.  She never played by the rules and lived life to its fullest.  Dawn had a great sense of humor and could always make you laugh.  She will be missed by her family and remembered in our hearts forever.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home.
