 Phyllis Wilson HallDorothy “Phyllis” Wilson Hall, age 81, passed peacefully at her home at her beloved Tanglewood (Moulton, Al) on March 20, 2019, surrounded by her children.

Visitation will be at Elliott Brown-Service Funeral Home on Sunday, March 24, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  The graveside service will be at Moulton Memory Gardens on Monday, March 25, at 10:00 am. with Rector Tom Crittenden presiding.

Mrs. Hall is preceded in death by a son, Timothy Young Hall, parents, James Timothy Wilson and Lelia Wilson Eastwood, sister, Mary Elizabeth Wilson, and the love of her life, her husband, Garland C. Hall, Jr, MD. (Bob).

She is survived by 5 children: Garland Clifton “Gary” Hall III of Moulton, Kathryn Rebecca “Kathy” Hall Taylor (Boyd), of Christina TN, Robert Burress Hall, MD. (Sonja), Muscle Shoals, Lelia Ann “Lee Ann” Tassin (James), Tuscumbia, and Allen Wilson Hall, Murfreesboro TN..   Grandchildren: Jacob “Jake” Taylor (Laura), Matthew “Matt” Taylor, Zachary “Zack” Taylor all of Mufreesboro TN. and Hannah Hall Rothermich (Phil) of Nashville.

Ms. Hall was born in Pinehurst NC on July 18, 1937.  She attended Landon High School in Jacksonville Fl, and attended the University of Alabama (Birmingham). In addition to working as a dental hygienist before having children, Phyllis helped in her husband’s medical practice.  She also worked with Alabama’s Governor’s office to increase awareness of obstacles faced by handicapped persons and their right to better access to public areas.

Phyllis enjoyed traveling with her husband and made sure that her children  and  her grandchildren got to share in their adventures.  Nothing was more important to her than family.  Phyllis will be remembered as a wife,  mother, grandmother and friend who taught us all how to celebrate every precious moment of life.
