Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Blankenship Harston, age 73, are scheduled for 1 PM, Friday, March 22, 2019 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Mifflin Cemetery. Mrs. Harston passed away in Jackson on Monday, March 18, 2019. She was born April 9, 1945 in Lexington. She was a retired Head Start Teacher in Jackson. She loved gardening, flowers, antiquing, and long drives in the country. She enjoyed raising chickens and loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Children, dogs, and cats loved her dearly, as did everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Alvis Blankenship. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Mr. Jerry Harston; her mother, Dorothy Blankenship; two sons, Timothy Hodges and Eric Hodges (Tracy); daughter, Donna Armanetti (Frank); step-daughter, Lisa Osborne (Bruce); three brothers, Jim Blankenship (Faye), Larry Blankenship (Brenda), and Bobby Blankenship (Nikki); four sisters, Brenda Potts (James), Minda Fesmire (Eddie), Linda Stansbury (Steve), and Kathy Strohm (George); four grandchildren, Alexander and Astrid Armanetti, Brent Osborne (Shelby), and Brian Osborne (Kayla); three great grandchildren, Addison, Brooklyn, and Solomon Osborne; and numerous nieces and nephews.
