Talmadge  “T.B.” Lewey, 76, died Monday, March 11, 2019 in Franklin County, AL. He was born May 31, 1942 in Franklin County, AL and worked with the State of Alabama Highway Department for thirty-five years. He was a member of Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church, a member of Franklin County Cattlemens Association and president of White Oak Hunting Club. He had served in the U.S. National Guard.

Services will be Saturday, March 16, 12 p.m. at Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Silas Oliver and Bro. Stephen Cantrell officiating. Burial will be in Dempsey Cemetery, Russellville, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by three brothers – Carl Lewey (Karen), Russellville, AL, Horace Lewey (Pam) Russellville, AL and Norris Lewey (Brenda) Red Bay, AL; two sisters – Racine Holt (Ed) and Berlene Puckett, all of Cleveland, Ohio; eleven nieces and nephews; twenty great-nieces and nephews and a step-grandson – C.J. Bennett, Cherokee, AL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Lewey and Gladys Jarnigan Lewey, an infant brother, Joseph Lewey, one niece, Emily Skidmore and a brother-in-law, Jim Puckett.

Pallbearers will be Torrey Lewey, Brandon Lewey, Charles Kemp, Jon Pruitt, Sonny Allen and Aiden Lewey. Honorary pallbearers will be White Oak Hunting Club members and Northwest Alabama Salebarn friends.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, March 15, at Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church and continue until service time on Saturday.
