Mary Ann Warren Pickett – Obituary

Mary Ann Pickett, of Henderson, TN Mary Ann Warren Pickett age 66, passed away March 11, 2019 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.

She was born December 9, 1952 in MS and reared in IL and TN, the daughter of the late Pervis Eugene and Vera Mae Ballard Warren. She went to school in IL. She began working at Salant & Salant Mfg. and was a good seamstress, working five years and then began working for Random House Books in Jackson for twenty years. She married Tom Hale in 1971 and he passed away in 1973. She married W.C. Pickett in 1979. They made their home in Chester County. She loved quilting, gardening, raising vegetables and roses. She was a member of the Quilters without a clue and she was a Baptist in faith.

Mrs. Pickett is survived by her husband, W.C. Pickett; four sons, Billy Hale, David Hale (Shelley) and Daniel Pickett (Jessica) all of Henderson and Thomas Hale (Julia) of Ohio; a daughter, Amy Prentiss of Henderson; eleven grandchildren, Jayden Pickett, Isabella Pickett, Mitchell Cole, Josh West, Ryan Hale, Bobbie Anne Stanfill, Samantha Stanfill, Brittany Stanfill, Bethany Hale, Ethan Matthews and Aden Matthews; one great grandchild, Marshall Dewayne Phelps, Jr.; a brother, James Warren (Gladys) and a sister, Carol Parker all of Henderson.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Ricky Tedford officiating. Burial will follow in Faith Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday.
