Troy Blane Young Sr., 57, of Elkmont, died Monday, March 11, 2019, at his residence.
Mr. Young was born January 24, 1962, in Morgan County, Alabama. He was a member of the Church of Christ, and he worked as a meat cutter.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Doug McCurry officiating. Burial in Athens City Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home.
Survivors include mother, Brenda Venable of Elkmont; sons, Troy Blane Young Jr. of Elkmont and Alex Neil Young of Decatur; daughter, Brandi Young of Huntsville; grandsons, Alexander Neil Young of Elkmont and Landin Rahm of Huntsville; granddaughter, Bralei Dotson of Huntsville; ex-wife, Shelia Diana Young; and brother, Barry Lane Young Jr. of Athens.
Preceded in death by father, Barry Lane Young; and grandparents, Herman and Eura Sutton and Roy D. and Mable Young.
