Raymond Wright Suggs, of Muscle Shoals, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the age 82. His visitation will be Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Terry Jones officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.

Raymond was a native of Spring Valley, Alabama and a member of the Spring Valley Church of Christ. He was a self-employed building contractor in the Shoals area for years and the founder of Suggs Rugs and Suggs Properties. He retired from Reynold’s Metals as a foreman. Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Suggs.
He is survived by his sons, Dale R. Suggs and Robert W. Suggs (Tonya); daughter, Marnie Austin (Alex); brother, Jerry Suggs; and step-grandson, Evan Austin.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Suggs, Stuart Suggs, Scott Suggs, Caleb Suggs, Richard Hall and Eric Greene.
