Lee Morgan King – Obituary

Lee Morgan King, age 80, of Russellville, passed away on Friday, March 08, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. King graduated from the pharmacy school at Sanford University in 1962.  He ran King’s Drive Inn for many years, and then later King’s Camper Sales.  He was loved by his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him.

The visitation will be 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 09, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel.  Officiating will be Bro. Kale Bragwell and Bro. Greg Reynolds.   Burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.

He was preceded in death by wife, Betty S. King; son, Morgan Lee “Butch” King; stepson, Tim Pounders; parents, Alvie Lee and Pauline (Aycock) King; and brother-in-law, Terrell Bragwell.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Candace King Stewart (husband, George); grandchildren, Haylee Baker (husband, Trey), Lee Howard, Cassidy King (wife, Ashley), Daniel King (wife, Courtney); great-grandchildren, Cassius King, Brice King, Ford Baker; sister, Jayne Bragwell Feagan (husband, Ken); aunt, Sue Aycock Hester; several nieces & nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.

The pallbearers will be Jason Young, Trevor Bragwell, George Stewart, Daniel King, and Cassidy King.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Amedisys Hospice, our nurse, Ruby Sheffield, and our caregivers, Dorothy Wray and Selena Hill for your love and care of our family.

Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
