FLORENCE- Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services received a visit from two esteemed members of Elks Lodge 820 Florence; Mr. Mike Daugherty, Exalted Ruler and Mr. Charlie Wright, Secretary.  On behalf of the Elks Lodge, the gentlemen presented Cheryl Jones, Director of the Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services (FLAS) with a check in the amount of five hundred dollars.

“This generous donation will provide bedding for the shelter animals.  We are incredibly grateful to the Elks Lodge 820. In addition, they have allowed FLAS to hold adoption events on their property,” said Cheryl Jones.

The Elks Lodges recently celebrated 150 years of service. This nonprofit Fraternal Organization is self-funded and has spent more than eighty million dollars providing services to community-minded programs throughout our country. To date, Florence Elks Lodge 820 has distributed twelve thousand dollars to various organizations in the Shoals.
